mcgregor ems works with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital on new stroke initiative.

Durham, NH -August 14, 2008- As part of their continuing effort to provide the highest quality emergency care to the community, McGregor EMS participated in a recent stroke program with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (WDH). WDH has partnered with Massachusetts General Hospital and is working in conjunction with area EMS agencies to ensure that stroke victims have the greatest chance of survival and recovery. McGregor Memorial EMS is rapidly implementing the latest science and practices on their ambulances. As your community emergency medical service McGregor wants to remind you that if you see or experience any of the signs of a stroke (facial droop, slurred speech, arm numbness or drift - see http://www.strokeassociation.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=1020 for more information) you should immediately call 911. The most important action against stroke is for McGregor Memorial EMS to quickly and safely get you to a hospital.
