We've Changed Our Name!
Durham Ambulance Corps is now...
McGregor Memorial EMS!
Durham, NH - August 2, 2007 - Our new names honors Dr. George G. McGregor, in whose memory we were founded nearly four decades ago. “Doc” McGregor was a larger-than-life figure remembered for his dedication to compassionate, quality healthcare. Our new name reflects:
- Our commitment to high-quality emergency medical care for our fellow residents, neighbors, and students.
- Our dedication to all four communities that we serve- Durham, Lee, Madbury, and the University of New Hampshire.
- The strong ethic of community service that is a cornerstone of NH communities. McGregor Memorial EMS, with almost four decades of non-profit, volunteer service to the community, exemplifies this ethic.
McGregor EMS maintains an organizational commitment to excellence, and prides itself on being one of the most cost-effective, highly-trained and professionally organized ambulance services in the state. Compassionate service is the hallmark of our service to the community.
McGregor’s service extends to other areas of public health and safety:
- We are the largest provider of CPR education to the communities we serve, with nearly 300 new “Community Heroes” trained last year.
- We offer the CPR Safe school program, a statewide program designed to make schools and the communities they serve a safer place for all.
- Through the McGregor Institute of EMS, we are one of the key providers of EMS education in the Seacoast.
