Reasons for Taking a CPR Course
Why take a public CPR course at McGregor?
Learning CPR is an easy and life-saving endeavor. Read on to find out
why members of your community are becoming CPR Heroes.
"I will list some good reasons for community members to take advantage of CPR for the public classes offered at a very reasonable fee by Mcgregor Memorial EMS in a 2 1/2 hour format.
1. It is so inexpensive and can be done easily without interfering with school or work and can result in more lives saved, perhaps a family member, a friend or someone you don't even know.
2. It provides important information allowing bystanders to respond more effectively in emergency situations in the chain of survival for arrest or near arrest victims of all ages in the community until EMS arrives on the scene.
3. It is essential for babysitters of all ages (from teens to grandparents) to know and be able to apply the CPR course material, as an emergency can arise at any time and often when you least expect it.
4. Even if you have taken a CPR class in the past, consider taking a refresher course if it has been over 4 years because there are many important changes in how to deliver effective CPR.
